For the second essay of this short semester, I've decided to use a few primary sources for the flyer but I feel as if a combination of primary and secondary sources would work best. You can talk with students to get their actual opinions on questions you need answered, and it will be the honest truth. Of course, surveys and questionnaires are perfect for guided opinions but it's necessary to reach out beyond that and, if possible, go to various friends or students blogs, facebooks, or any other accessible site to get a real feel for how they view the university.
I've decided to come up with a set of interview questions to ask some of my friends about the school. What I decided would be best is if I choose various groups of friends (i.e. athletes, greeks, etc). So, I've pulled together a set of about seven or eight specific questions to be answered about our school. At the end of this set of questions, I give the person an opportunity to add in whatever he or she would like to contribute.
This is an excellent idea. I like how you have tried to target different groups of students and their opinions. I know it is difficult because this is summer and you have a short deadline, but the methodology here is well thought out.
